This one-of-a-kind ceramic piece is handmade and painted. I started this series in mid-March 2020. I draw inspiration from my home, childhood, living in Venezuela, friends, and surroundings. Once the bowl is thrown, I engrave the surface with my designs. I fire it, sand it, and then paint over my drawing with multiple layers of underglaze. Finish the piece with a clear glaze on the outside and color celadon glaze on the inside, finally firing it a third time to 2232 Fahrenheit (cone 6.)

Although dishwasher safe, I recommend placing it on the top rack and avoiding the heat drying cycle or handwashing it. This cup is also food-safe.
