This one-of-a-kind ceramic piece is handmade and painted. I draw inspiration from my home, childhood, living in Venezuela, friends, and surroundings. Once the pitcher is thrown on the wheel, I engrave the surface. I fire it, sand it, and then paint over my drawings with three or four coats of underglaze. I finish the piece with a clear glaze on the outside and color celadon glaze on the inside, finally firing it a third time to 2232 Fahrenheit (cone 6).

Although dishwasher safe, I recommend placing it on the top rack and avoiding the heat drying cycle or handwashing it. This piece is food-safe.
